Overview
Since the Inland Empire, our primary service area, encompasses two of the largest counties in California (Riverside and San Bernardino counties,) we’ve got a lot of ground to cover. We want our Liaison Team to reach from Palm Springs to Mira Loma, from Temecula to Victorville. Our goal is to have a liaison, or liaison team, in every community in our area!
Duties
- Educate their community about epilepsy and raise awareness by participating in talks with local civic and school groups, health fairs, and other opportunities as they arise.
Requirements
- Must have some experience of life with epilepsy either by having epilepsy themselves or by knowing someone with epilepsy. If not, you are welcome to team with a liaison as a Special Events Volunteer.
- Outgoing, with good public speaking skills.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently.
- Light physical duty might be needed (e.g. moving a table or setting up an EZ-up.)
- Basic computer skills.
- Must have a passion towards epilepsy advocacy.
Overview
Like every business, a non-profit has basic office duties that need to be done on a regular basis.
Duties
- Assist the Executive Director on a regular basis with general duties including, but not limited to, data entry, phone calls, filing, and organizing.
- Could assist the Community Outreach Coordinator or Volunteer Coordinator on occasion as major events approach.

- Computer literate in Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
- Good writing skills.

Overview
The Purple Ball was started in 2010 as a local fundraiser for epilepsy awareness. It is now the signature event for EEE. Each year, people from throughout the community are needed to make a premier dancing event within the Inland Empire. For more information, click here.
Duties
- Attend and participate in monthly planning meetings (semi-monthly as event approaches.) Meetings held February-November.
- Attend and assist at the Purple Ball.
- Assist with fundraising and making essential contacts between meetings such as catering, photographer, event volunteers, news media, local representatives, etc., for event production.

- Knowledge of the community and local resources.

Overview
As EEE grows, so does our need for educational and event materials. These include, but are not limited to, bookmarks, flyers, pamphlets, memes for use with social media, and event programs. Whether you are a professional graphic designer, or a college student looking for a way to give back to your community, we can use your help.
Duties
- Professionally design an item, or set of items, for Epilepsy Education Everywhere.
Requirements
- Graphic design experience (or a college student working towards graphic design.)
- The ability to work independently.
- Must have your own graphic design software and be able to give EEE the final product in multiple formats (.eps, .jpg, .ai, .pdf)
- Must have a passion towards community involvement, preferably epilepsy advocacy.
Overview
Like any 501(c)(3), Epilepsy Education Everywhere is overseen by a Board of Directors consisting of five community members. The Executive Director reports to the Board. Really want to make a difference? Come be one of the decision makers for EEE!
Duties
- Attend monthly board meetings (dark in January.)
- Be willing to give input and make decisions to better improve EEE and its services to the community.
- Attend special events such as The Purple Ball.
- Promote EEE events via social media and e-mail.
- Be a community voice to raise awareness about EEE and its services.

- Prior board experience not required, but desired.

- Knowledge of general business skills such as marketing, community outreach, or budgeting.
- Must have a passion towards epilepsy advocacy and be willing to learn more about epilepsy in order to answer basic questions.
Overview
As EEE expands its services, more volunteers are going to be needed as will a volunteer coordinator. The Volunteer Coordinator will oversee volunteer needs for upcoming events, be it special events such as The Purple Ball or outreach events such as a health fair.
Duties
- Determine volunteer need and schedule for upcoming events.
- Establish a viable volunteer pool.
- Host new volunteer sessions on a quarterly basis.
- Establish community connections for volunteers (e.g. Starbucks, NJROTC, etc.) for larger events.
- Maintain volunteer statistics and make monthly report to Executive Director.

- Management experience.
- Ability to work well with individuals of all ages.

As a nonprofit, EEE’s primary funding sources are individual donors, fundraising events, and grants.
Duties
- Research grant opportunities.
- Report options to Executive Director and discuss to determine best options for EEE.
- Write grant proposals for submission allowing time for Executive Director to sign/submit before deadline.
- Help maintain ongoing list of grant submissions/grant opportunities.

- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Ability to work with statistics.

EEE has its’ own special events such as The Purple Ball, but participates in community events year-round as part of its mission to reach the public and raise epilepsy awareness. A Special Events volunteer could assist with any of these.

- Assist in coordination and preparation for special events.
- Assist with set-up the day of the event and/or advanced preparation.
- Assist in handing out information and answering questions about EEE and epilepsy at resource fairs.

- Work with the Executive Director to establish informational videos about epilepsy and EEE.
