Every 4 minutes someone is diagnosed with epilepsy.

Epilepsy Education Everywhere is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising epilepsy awareness and education among the general public.

Our mission is to help people with epilepsy by educating the public about epilepsy, including proper procedures when a seizure occurs; by showing the historic progress of people with epilepsy; and encouraging people with epilepsy to persevere.

A 2008 report from the Epilepsy Foundation of America states that the leading non-medical problem confronting people with epilepsy is discrimination in education, employment and social acceptance. Educating the general public is necessary to alleviate the problems facing people with epilepsy. Epilepsy might be a hidden disorder, but a 2012 Institute of Medicine report states that 1 in 26 people will develop epilepsy. The odds are that everyone knows someone with epilepsy whether they know it or not. Even pets can have epilepsy.

As part of our services, we speak to businesses, civic groups, schools basically any organization that wants to learn about epilepsy. We also host booths at health fairs and are researching information on epilepsy history for future publications.
